Cee Lo Green of Gnarls Barkley may soon be singing, “I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost that nasty habit of eating meat.”

Green told The Sun he’s looking to get in shape for the New Year and feels going vegetarian might help him achieve his goals.

“I think I’m gonna stop eating meat. Eating is probably my only vice. I love great food and I love to eat. So I’d like to see myself committed to that correction. I feel like that is the missing link. If I could get that one vice under control, there’s no telling what I could accomplish.”

Green says the change is definitely about better health, adding he’d like to live “as close to forever” because he has children and even grandchildren to look after.

Getting in shape and eating healthy is a common New Year’s resolution that may also be one of the hardest ones.

That’s why the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine’s 21 Day Kickstart Program is here for anyone looking to shape up seitan style. The biggest hurdle to better health, cooking, is solved by the program’s 21 day meal planner, plus resources, vegetarian and vegan celebrity fitness tips and nutritional webcasts by M.D.s who advocate a plant-based diet.

Don’t wait until the New Year. Sign up now and maybe you’ll get some ideas for a meatless holiday dinner the whole family can enjoy.
