Mercedes-Benz Loans Green To Green Businesses

The Conservation’s ShadeFund is a new program designed to raise capital for small loans to green businesses.
Mercedes-Benz has graciously taken the step to be the first business to pledge to lend between 10-12 loans to green companies in the next 1-2 years, the first two being an organic farm that sells herbs and vegetables and a company that gathers wood from downed trees and turns it into furniture. Loan sizes will range from $5,000-$25,000, depending on the project.
Individuals can also contribute to the funds and learn about the green companies, currently displayed on ShadeFund’s website.
These new loans do not make up for the fact some Mercedes still take 4 dead animals to make one car. But maybe the new green initiative will enlighten some of the officials in the design department at the automobile giant to cover the seats of the next CLS with synthetic fibers.
