Josie Maran is using the power of her cosmetics products that are never tested on animals to fight cancer.
Maran has partnered with City of Hope, an organization that provides research, treatment and education for cancer patients to launch the GOGO Instant Volume Argan Mascara Campaign which will run from now until August 2012.
This is not only a campaign which raises money for cancer research, but helps women with cancer look great, as it donates makeup to patients.
For every $22 mascara purchase, the Get One Give One (GOGO) campaign will donate a tube of mascara to a patient living with cancer. After the first 5,000 purchases, Maran will donate $1 from each GOGO mascara sold to the City of Hope Women’s Cancer Program.
On August 19th, Maran will join forces with the City of Hope again to give makeovers to cancer patients and survivors at the Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center in Duarte, CA.
The GOGO Instant Natural Volume Mascara, like all products in the Josie Maran line, are never tested on animals and are free of many toxic and/or earth or human unfriendly ingredients like parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances and dyes, petrochemicals, GMOS and triclosan.
Maran credits her mother for introducing her to a green life and said mom used to “sneak tofu into my food,” which initially made Maran angry until she finally came around.
