Jennifer Garner has a love for shopping at farmers markets and she was spied just this past weekend picking up fresh fruits and vegetables.
Garner has been spotted at the market in Brentwood in Los Angeles, but if you live in Illinois, do you know where to pick up local apples?
Several directories exist that enable you to search for both farmers markets and other outlets, such as co-opts, that feature locally grown items.
Local Harvest is one such database listing farmers markets, grocery stores and co-ops, restaurants and organic stores that stock food that doesn’t travel by a plane or otherwise use excessive fuel to get to you.
The Farmers Market website will let locavores search by city and state, zip code or area code for fast results.
