Natalie Portman Receives Vegan Rina Shah Shoes For Birthday

Natalie Portman received a pair of vegan shoes from Indian designer Rina Shah for her 29th birthday, which happens to be today.
“I chose Portman for this because she has been a long-time supporter of animal rights,” said Shah.
“The shoes sent to Natalie are inspired by Cinderella’s glass slippers, adorned with Swarovski crystals.”
Shah is a member of PETA India, which has praised her for promoting footwear that is both stylish and cruelty-free.
“Shah has shown that it’s possible to create first-rate fashion without killing animals,” said Ambika Shukla of PETA India.
Shah’s designs include faux leather boots, faux animal print shoes, faux suede, slippers, heels and even synthetic patent leather handbags.
