Alexa Chung Dead Animal Fetish
Written by Vegetarian Star on October 27th, 2009 in Animal Issues, TV Hosts.
MTV‘s Alexa Chung has just admitted she likes to collect dead animals.
The British TV host is vegetarian, but that’s the only place she keeps dead flesh away.
“[I collect] dead things, but I’m a vegetarian, so it’s a bit hard,” Chung said.
“I got a dead alligator head in New Orleans.”
It gets creepier, as Alexa reveals that certain animals are on her “hit list” anyway.
“I don’t mind if I hate the animal.”
“Alligators and spiders I don’t mind being dead.”
Huh?
What’s this, some weird “Don’t kill the cute animals” set of principles?

It’s probably not about “cute” so much as “dangerous and scary.” A lot of people who are otherwise very peaceful don’t feel bad at all knowing that some evil serial killer is going to get the death penalty. And gators are scarier than a lot of those guys.

What a disturbing individual.

Even if it is a dangerous animal-it’s probably only dangerous to its predators. That’s the whole reason creatures bite, sting, poison to begin with-to protect themselves from being killed or eaten.
If humans would learn to leave the creatures alone, they wouldn’t be constantly putting themselves in danger.

No, crocs and poisonous spiders are dangerous whether or not you bear them any ill will — heck, even if you don’t know they’re there. I still prefer to save them if I can, but our instinct to protect ourselves is just as valid as theirs is.
Personally, I’m down with Alexa. She’s cool and cute and vegetarian, which is more than I can say for most people.
