We brought you the news of how concert promoter Live Nation banned meat from the venues at Chrissie Hynde’s upcoming concerts this weekend and is promoting a pre-show barbecue.
Now, we know the faux meat served at the barbecue will be none other than tasty Gardein!
Chrissie was quoted in a press release as saying, “I have long advocated a vegetarian diet and am thrilled to offer my fans the opportunity to try gardein. It’s a vegan food but offers the familiar taste and texture of meat. I believe that my fans will love gardein – it’s good for you and the planet.”
Up to 200 fans total will have the opportunity to sample to meat substitute made from wheat, soy, grains, and vegetables that comes in various beef and chicken varieties.
If you didn’t win tickets to Chrissie’s concert and barbecue, just pick up a package of Gardein yourself at your local natural foods grocery store and turn up the CD jams!
