Betty White Criticizes PETA, Doesn’t Mind Doing Ads For Them

Golden Girl Betty White recently expressed her disapproval with the animal rights group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
“They play dirty,” she said in an interview with Canada.com. “They not only give misinformation but disinformation . . . . They won’t listen, and it infuriates me. I’m sure they love animals but they should find out the facts.”
However, Betty has worked with the organization in the past, starring in an anti-fur public service announcement with her fellow Golden Girls.
Betty works with the Morris Animal Foundation, which funds “humane” studies dealing with the health problems of dogs, cats, horses, zoo animals and wild life. She’s also worked with the Los Angeles zoo for the past 41 years.
“Health and welfare, that’s all I’m interested in,” she explained and cautioned against being labeled an animal rights activist.
She’s not the first celebrity to work with PETA and criticize them later.
Vegan UFC champ Mac Danzig did a vegetarian PSA for the group, but later said that while believed in animal rights, “the way they go about their business is junior high most time.”

I would really like to know what Betty White exactly talks about. What kind of disinformation does PETA give the people? Or could it be, that she just does not want to hear true information about the sad life of zoo animals???

The only disinformation I can think of that PETA gives is their cruelty free list. Most of the companies on that list do not test final products on animals but they get ingredients from suppliers that do. So that’s why I go by CCIC’s list list http://www.leapingbunny.org since their list only list companies that do not test final products on animals and gets ingredients from suppliers that do not test on animals.
