Chrissie Hynde Wants Las Vegan In Las Vegas

Chrissie Hynde is burning the internet URLs lately (a nerd way to describe rising internet popularity) because she’s about to release a new album, Break Up The Concrete, next week.
It would be a disservice to say she doesn’t make fire at any other time though, given her long list of activism and outspokenness on her vegan lifestyle. She sat down to speak with PETA about her experiences with the animal rights movement and plans to expand her vegan restaurant, The Vegiterranean in places like Las Vegas and the new Freedom Tower where the old World Trade Center stood.
And did you know that her and Ingrid Newkirk, President and Co-Founder of PETA, have “chilled” and watched movies together at Hynde’s home in the UK?
“I love Ingrid and always urge her to take a break once in a while; I even made her come over to my house in London to chill out and watch a movie,” Hynde said.
“If a small Midwestern town can have a line out the door at a vegan restaurant, it can work anywhere. Times are definitely changing all over. I’d like to expand to Las Vegas so tourists from all over the world can see how great vegan food can be, and of course in LA I’ve read that Freedom Tower in New York City, the new development where the World Trade Centre once stood, is looking for a notable restaurateur. I’d like to throw my hat into the ring.”
