—-Isaac Bashevis Singer, a Nobel Prize recipient, Polish born American fiction writer and a leading figure of Yiddish Literary Movement. His works include The Slaughterer, The Family Moskat, Fools of Chelm and Their History, among others. He was a vegetarian for the last 35 years of his life until his death is 1991.
