Christina Pirello Gives Tips For Maintaining Healthy New Year’s Resolutions

The month of January is almost over.
Many made New Year’s Resolutions at the beginning of the month.
For some of you, those resolutions were broken by January 2, 12:01 a.m.
Christina Pirello has a few tips to keep those commitments to better habits going in 2015.
She shared some of these during an interview that’s posted on The Mercury.
Add Some
Who said anything about going vegan overnight? Pirello suggests making small changes in your diet. “Just add a vegetable in your diet in some way,” she said.
Subtract Some
“Each week, take something out of your diet,” Pirello said and gave ideas like substituting regular soda with sparkling water and trading butter for a plant-based oil.
You’re In Good Company
Keeping a good habit is easier when there’s support. If there’s no one immediately near you that is making healthier changes, find support on online forums or visit healthy recipe sites. “We’re not going away,” Pirello said of people looking to eat better. “There’s more young people attracted to it … and everyone is becoming more educated.”
One of the best ways to keep a New Year’s Resolution to eat healthier is to develop a stock of recipes. Pirello has three to start the year at The Mercury.
