Mandy Moore is lending her name to a campaign to encourage people to open their homes to shelter cats across the country.
Purina Cat Chow’s “Build Better Lives” program will support 50 shelters nationwide that focus on felines. It plans to donate $275,000 in products and money to these facilities dedicated to caring for cats.
The singer, songwriter and actress known for her roles in Christmas in Conway and Disney’s Tangled is the owner of four rescue cats and knows the benefits of welcoming them into her family.
According to the ASPCA, approximately 3.4 million cats in the United States enter shelters.
The Purina “Build Better Lives” program aims to not only support these shelters but to help the cats they receive find loving, permanent homes.
