“Free Birds” Reggie And Jake Join Farm Sanctuary Adopt A Turkey Mission

This year’s spokespersons for Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt a Turkey campaign are two individuals who know how important it is to keep animals off the dinner table.
Reggie and Jake, voiced by Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson, can be seen in theatres this Thanksgiving season as two cartoon turkeys in Free Birds, a film about turkeys on a mission to save their family and friends from becoming dinner.
“We want you to join our flock and adopt a turkey today!” say Reggie and Jake in a press release from Farm Sanctuary, which features a different celebrity each year to promote its Adopt a Turkey Project.
“After more than 25 years of caring for rescued turkeys through our Adopt a Turkey Project, we’re delighted to team up with Reggie and Jake this Thanksgiving,” says Farm Sanctuary President and Co-founder Gene Baur. “We hope their amazing adventure will inspire even more people to adopt a turkey as part of their holiday tradition.”
Adopting a turkey is not expensive and funds go towards the care of turkeys living on the sanctuary which educates visitors on animal welfare.
