Missy Higgins Receives Horrible Airline Veggie Food Service

Missy Higgins has taken to Facebook to express her discontent about the lack of good vegetarian options on Qantas Airlines.
Out of all the slogans the company could create for itself, the last one that suits it would be one inviting passengers to “fly the veggie skies.”
Higgins wrote in a post that received over 7,000 “Likes” and 1,300 comments:
“two pieces of dry bread with a limp piece of lettuce, two slices of old raw capsicum, a measly piece of cucumber and three slithers (sic) of dry carrot does not a sandwich maketh.”
Even worse, a vegetarian or vegan flyer can’t even put two pieces of bread together to make the “condiment” sandwich, as Higgins reported the menu showed no signs of “butter, margarine, chutney, cheese or mustard.”
Higgins added that vegetarians, “don’t deserve to punished for not wanting to eat something that has mostly…spent the entirety of its life in a cage”.
Although Qantas may have a long way to go, many other airlines and other major transportation services regularly offer vegetarian options to their customers. Some have even invited high profile or celebrities to design the menu options.
