Mayim Bialik has given fans a sneak preview of her new cookbook, Mayim’s Vegan Table.
The book, which will be available in February 2014, features 100 of Bialik’s favorite plant-based recipes, many based on traditional Jewish dishes she’s featured on Kveller.com.
“The fear people have of weird dry crumbly gross vegan food us not a reality, and as the cook and restaurant industry have been reflecting, if done right, vegan food can be fantastic,” Bialik told readers at Shalom Life.
One of the best ways to do vegan food right is to do it dessert style!
A vegan cookie, cupcake or other sweet delicacy has a greater likelihood of winning over a foodie than the stereotypical granola mix or seaweed stir-fry.
Dessert can mean a lot of things and not necessarily a pastry.
Bialik’s Pecan Pie Truffles are a good example of a quick and easy to whip together sweet treat without any need for eggs, milk or butter.
These treats were featured on the popular ABC daytime cooking and talk show, The Chew.
