The Vegucation of Robin

Robin Quivers, you’ve fought and won the battle against cancer.

What are you going to do next?

Treat yourself to a vegan chocolate mousse, of course!

The radio host and author of The Vegucation of Robin has shared with People her thoughts about overcoming the disease that require she had a grapefruit-sized tumor removed from her pelvis.

Like many who work hard to maintain health but still suffer setbacks, Quivers was a little upset upon receiving the diagnoses. She had adopted a plant-based diet in 2007, lost almost 100 pounds and had maintain a stringent exercise regime that included training for her very first marathon.

“I was really angry and felt that I had been let down by all the changes I had made,” Quivers told the magazine. “Soon, I realized however, that I was in the best shape possible to confront the disease and survive.”

Quivers’ mousse uses non-dairy milks of almond and coconut. It is thickened by silken tofu and given a rich chocolatety taste with dark chocolate, an item that is commonly already found vegan.

It’s simple to make and requires only four steps.

Visit People to get the recipe from her Vegucation cookbook.
