Esha Gupta, Bollywood actress and 3rd place winner in Femina Miss India 2007, is using fashion to promote a statement in a new pro-vegetarian ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Her message to fans is simple.
“Go Green: Go Vegetarian.”
“Being a vegetarian really saves lives”, Gupta said. “If you love animals, please don’t eat them.”
Animals aren’t the only lives that are saved.
Gupta agrees with several studies backed by research that consuming a plant-based diet may reduce one’s risk of diseases linked to premature death.
“[I]f you want to live [a] longer and healthier life [of] at least 10 years more, then I think that being a vegetarian is a better way!”
Gupta joins several Indian and Bollywood stars in promoting vegetarianism with PETA, including Lara Dutta, Shahid Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Pankaj Advani, Anil Kumble and Amrita Rao.
