Seattle Mariners Fans Have Vegan Chili Cheese Dog Option

Seattle Mariners fans have one more vegan option at Safeco Field.
A vegan chili cheese dog will be available in addition to the already offered vegetarian frankfurters and veggie burger, all of which are produced by Field Roast.
In addition to the these vegan versions of traditional ballpark foods, there will be more gourmet dishes to choose from.
Vegan chefs Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby, owners of the award-winning Vedge restaurant in Philadelphia, consulted with Centerplate to create Bao-Choi – vegan, Asian-style steamed buns.
Fans can choose between black vinegar glazed Portobello with pickled cucumber, green chili, scallion and spicy sambal mayo or Korean eggplant with gochujang (fermented red pepper paste), daikon radish, spicy cabbage, scallion, cilantro and kimchee mayo.
Safeco Field is no stranger to offering unique twists to what may otherwise be a boring bland vegetarian food.
It earned a spot on PETA’s Top Vegetarian Friendly Ballparks with items like the Bombay Veggie Dogs and Burgers with garlic, curry and vegetables.
