Miranda Lambert recently rescued a dog from an Oklahoma highway.
The country music singer was driving on the west side of Tishomingo on Highway 22 when she spotted the animal.
“He was in the middle of the hwy with his food bowl and bed… If it wasn’t an accident someone is really sick,” Lambert wrote in addition to posting a picture of the two of them on Instagram. “I guess the pup is mine till I find him a little boy somewhere to [love] him.”
Lambert’s home is already filled with five rescue dogs, but she wants any interested animal lover to contact the Tish animal shelter if they wish to adopt.
In 2010, Lambert was part of a lineup of musicians participating in PAWS for Cause, an event that raised over $90,000 for shelter pets affected by the Nashville, Tennessee floods and the East Texas Humane Society.
