U.S. News and World Report included plant-based diets in its ranking of best diets earlier this year.
Now it will host a live chat with nutritional experts to answer questions about vegetarian and vegan eating.
On Monday, March 18 at 2 PM EST, registered dietitian Julieanna Hever and author and vegan for 20 years Dreena Burton, will be available to discuss every aspects of going meatless.
From U.S. News:
“For the first time this year, U.S. News’s Best Diets rankings include a new list dedicated to plant-based diets. Research continues to suggest they promote weight loss—and protect against diabetes, heart disease, and other health conditions. Though there’s no solid definition for “plant-based,” these plans typically emphasize minimally processed foods from plants, and are built around healthy protein like nuts, seeds, beans, and tofu. So how do you get started—and should you? Our experts will answer common questions.”
Potential plant-based foodies should visit http://tweetchat.com/room/EatPlants for the discussion. The Twitter hashtag is #EatPlants.
