“Martha Stewart Living” Favorite Recipes Include Tofu French Fries
Written by Vegetarian Star on March 5th, 2013 in Food & Drink, Recipes.
Martha Stewart Living has compiled a list of favorite recipes.
Stewart’s talent for seitan is just as good if not better than her uses for steak so it’s no surprise that out of the 27 dishes put into the collection, there are several suitable for vegetarians.
There are three categories for Stewart’s favorite dishes: Chicken, Pasta and Healthy. And while most (even chicken dishes) can be made vegetarian, Stewart’s Tofu French Fries are a truly vegan dish that require no substitutions.
Stewart takes a block of tofu and divides it into thinner, slabs.
She then cuts the slabs into slimmer rectangles that resemble thick-cut french fries. The fries are dusted with seasoning and baked in the oven’s broil.
Once baked, these soy strips are ready to be dipped in sauces like ketchup, mustard or anything else you’d like.
Stewart can be seen demonstrating the process of making tofu french fries and the remaining 26 favorite dishes at Martha Stewart Living.
