Quantcast Vegetarian StarTaco Bell Ad Mocking Vegetarians Pulled From Superbowl (Video)

Taco Bell has voluntarily pulled an advertisement that was to run during Superbowl XLVII on Sunday.

The ad pokes fun of vegetarians and veggie lovers in general, hinting that anyone would wants to crunch on celery and dip doesn’t belong at the bowl.

“Veggies on game day is like punting on fourth and one — it’s a cop out,” the voice on the commercial says.

“Secretly, people will kinda hate you for it.”

Such a disappointment from a fast food chain that is generally good for vegetarians and vegans.

When it’s not making fun of them, Taco Bell has numerous vegetarian Mexican options and several of these can easily be made vegan by asking the employees to hold the dairy products like cheese and sour cream.

After getting over the insult from the video above, if you’re looking for cheap, convenience food this Superbowl Sunday, opt for any numerous plant-based Taco Bell items like the Cantina Bowls, chips and salsa or chips and guacamole and tacos and burritos with beans instead of meat.
