“Late Show” Comedian Eddie Brill On Vegan And Laughter Medicine

Dave Letterman‘s warm up comedian Eddie Brill was once a 400 pound, two packs of cigarettes a day smoker facing a multitude of health problems.
He’s since lost over 100 pounds and become a vegan, proving the funny man doesn’t have to be fat, as he hosted a comedy show at NYC’s Gotham Comedy Club, “Laughter and Food is the Best Medicine.”
The show included several other comics who have either overcome health issues or are also vegan.
In addition to a few good laughs, attendees at the show viewed presentations on health and wellness and enjoyed food tastings.
Brill agreed to the show because he wanted to get people thinking about nutrition.
“Weight was a constant struggle for me my whole life and I was always going up and down,” Brill said.
“Losing weight is not as hard as being healthy,” Brill said. “It’s all about having the right attitude and that’s what I want to convey. I guarantee people will leave feeling healthier than when they came in.”
