Anne Hathaway Gets Rescue Calf Named In Her Honor By PETA

Anne Hathaway‘s recent marriage to Adam Shulman was celebrated by both the happy couple’s friends and family and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
The animal rights group heard about Hathaway’s vegan-friendly options served at the ceremony and decided to name a calf in her honor.
Peter currently resides at The Cow Sanctuary in New Jersey.
Peter was rescued from a dairy farm in Pennsylvania, along with another male calf named Jerry. The two were living at the farm that PETA was eventually able gather enough evidence for authorities to file animal cruelty charges against.
The conditions Peter and his friend Jerry resided in were filthy. The calves were covered in their own excrement, had medical problems, such as pink eye and ringworm, and could barely stand up. After receiving proper veterinary care, both Peter and Jerry are now true Happy Cows.
Before and after pictures of the calves can be viewed at PETA.
