Adrien Brody Supports Taking Horse Drawn Carriages Off Streets

Adrien Brody has thrown in his support for a plan to take horse-drawn carriages off the streets of New York and replace them with eco-friendly model classic cars.
His decision comes after learning of yet another accident involving a horse-drawn carriage in Manhattan where the horse was frightened by traffic, taking off suddenly and eventually overturning with passengers inside.
“As a native New Yorker, I’m writing to urge you to adopt the pilot program that would test out the appeal of classic cars, with the worthy goal of removing horse-drawn carriages from the streets of Manhattan,” writes The Pianist actor.
“Today they are just relics of the past–cars and other motorized vehicles have suddenly taken over the city. A horse and carriage belong on a deserted country road or in a small village, not in a big city filled with blaring noise, throngs of people, air pollution, and fleets of taxis–where accidents are inevitable.”
