PETA Top 10 Vegetarian Friendly Minor League Ball Parks
Written by Vegetarian Star on July 12th, 2012 in Athletes-Games-Sports, Food & Drink.
In addition to its list of top vegetarian friendly major league ball parks, PETA has given a shout out to the best minor league ball parks for vegetarian fans to find something other than popcorn and peanuts to snack on during the big game.
Fort Myers Miracles’ Hammond Stadium came in first again this year with selections like, “veggie burgers (with optional vegan cheese), veggie tacos, veggie dogs, a veggie Philly sandwich, a fruit-and-vegetable tray, and vegetarian baked beans.”
And here is a list of Vegetarian Star’s honorable mentions, picked from PETA’s master list, of course.
- Albuquerque Isotopes’ Isotopes Park: Ball players aren’t the only ones that need their carbs for energy. Yell a little louder after filling up on wok-fried soba noodles. Yum!
- Tulsa Drillers’ ONEOK Field: Oklahoma is a far way from the Middle East, but with the stadium’s hummus-and-tabouli platter, you don’t need a pair of uncomfortable red heels to click to take you to a place that feels like home.
- Wilmington Blue Rocks’ Frawley Stadium: Vegan coleslaw make the afternoon game a picnic experience.
