K.D. Lang Life Of Vegetarian Portland Scene

K.D. Lang has found a comfortable home in Portland, Oregon, not only because the city is in align with many of her values, but there are countless places to eat vegetarian and vegan!
“I’m kind of a foodie, so the culinary scene here is appealing. Right now, I’m a gluten-free vegetarian, so that’s pretty limited but also exciting. And obviously, I’m a liberal, and this is a pretty liberal town, in fact one of the most liberal in America.”
When asked by Oregon Live if she planned to make an appearance in the satirical IFC show Portlandia, which has poked fun of vegetarians and conscious eating decisions in the past, Lang jokingly replied, “Well, you know all my friends ask me that, because everyone loves “Portlandia.””
“You know the “Allergy Pride Parade”? I felt like I was already in that one, even though I don’t actually have allergies, but I’m a gluten-free vegetarian, which makes me like the death of any party. I’m a natural fit!”
Her diet may make her the death of the traditional party, but she’s definitely the life of the Veggie Pride Parade.
Check out Travel Portland for a list of hot spots you might find Lang visiting if you’re ever in the city.

Portland is an ideal city for KD Lang. Lot’s of vegetarians and environmentalists. Very similar to some parts of Vancouver.
