Dr. Oz hosted Eat to Live author and member of the Physicians Commitee for Responsible Medicine, Dr. Joel Fuhrman on The Dr. Oz Show to discuss crash dieting.
Normally, crash diets are associated with loss of energy and regaining pounds, but the physician who advocates a plant-based diet approves of one plan that’s quick, but healthy.
“Most diets have people cut calories, reduce portion size, cut fat,” Dr. Fuhrman begins.
“They don’t focus on the most important thing, that is eating lots of foods that are rich in nutrients.”
Dr. Fuhrman suggests that for a 7-day weight loss plan to make those jeans a little bit more comfortable, try eating foods high in nutrients that burn fat fastest like starchy vegetables, fruits and green vegetables.
Eating foods low in nutrients like meats and dairy will make those pants even harder to button.
