“Eco-Pirate: The Story Of Paul Watson” Trailer (Video)

It took producer Trish Dolman almost a decade to make the story of Sea Shepherd’s Captain Paul Watson‘s life of fighting whaling with sometimes controversial, but effective techniques. Dolman attributed the completion of the movie to not only acquiring the right amount of funds, but to a change in the attitudes of movie goers. Environmental films are gaining popularity.
Dolman told Post City:
“I wanted to make a film that brought together aspects of Paul’s personality and aspects of the evolution of the environmental movement. Paul has a very cultivated media personality. He knows how to make the media work for him, for his cause. And I wanted to find out about the man. Paul is a unique individual. There’s not really anyone else in the world doing what he’s doing. So I wanted to understand what made the mechanics of a man like that tick.”
A very young Paul Watson from his earlier days in Greenpeace can be seen in the official trailer of Eco-Pirate below.
