Growing up, everyone had a favorite meal they’d routinely request from chef mom.

Bethenny Frankel’s toddler Brynn may not always be able to vocalize what she wants yet, but not spitting up or throwing these lentil burgers in mom’s face is a sure sign she’s happy with what Bethenny is serving from the home menu.

“I frequently cook lentils for Bryn to eat,” Bethenny wrote on her website. “I had extra lentils that needed to be used so I decided to be creative, use whatever you have in your kitchen. By adding Indian spices I was able to zip up the flavor, but as I always say, use what you have.”

Bethenny recommends topping these burgers with fresh slices of avocado and tomato.
