Meatless Monday Recipe–Alicia Silverstone Shares Vegetable Broth
Written by Vegetarian Star on July 11th, 2011 in Actresses, Food & Drink, Meatless Monday Recipe, Recipes.
There’s nothing worse than reading a can of veggie soup and discovering some genius put beef or chicken stock in it.
The experience can be so frustrating, it makes you want to make your own!
Alicia Silverstone is helping her Kind Life blog followers this week by giving them a recipe for veggie broth by Madeleine Ignon, a San Francisco artist.
Ignon put together the recipe to save money by avoiding buying brands at the grocery store.
The broth uses every part of the vegetable, making it rich and full of flavor while avoiding waste.
She adds this to tomato sauce, hummus and cooks beans, rice and vegetables in it.
