Quantcast Vegetarian StarMike Ness Of Social Distortion Does PETA Ad For Vegetarianism

Mike Ness Social Destruction PETA

Social Distortion’s Mike Ness once said in an interview there were so many parts of him other than his music side people weren’t familiar with, including his spiritualism and vegetarianism. Ness just got more public with one of those sides in a new pro-vegetarian ad for Peta2.

“I Believe in Standing Up for Animals Who Can’t Speak for Themselves,” the ad reads. “I Love Being a Vegetarian, and I Believe It Is the Right Choice for Me.”

“I’m Mike Ness From Social Distortion, and I Am a Vegetarian.”

Ness has also recorded a video PSA for the group in the past.

Ness was motivated to go vegetarian for the animals, but that’s only one important reason to grab tempeh and not turkey.

Meat wrecks the environment. And that’s bad for animals and people.

From Peta2:

Raising animals for food is one of the leading causes of climate change—factory farms produce exorbitant levels of greenhouse-gas emissions that are wreaking havoc on the planet. Factory farming is also to blame for the clear-cutting of rain forests in Brazil and elsewhere to make room for growing crops that are fed to cattle, not people. In the U.S. alone, more than half the water used and 70 percent of the wheat grown goes to feed factory-farmed animals. When you consider that it takes 16 pounds of grain and 2,500 gallons of water to produce just 1 pound of meat, it’s easy to see what a gross misuse of resources it is to continue to eat animals.

Go green. Go veg.

Peta is a horrible organization when it comes down to it. Their intensions can be good and they sometimes do good things which is great. However, they are very extreamist. They should not go to such extents, they should balance pet ownership and agricultural practices whith the idea of being humane instead of setting their goal to destroy all pet ownership and livestock breeding. They push mainly exagerated or false information. Do your reasearch on them and you will understand what I’m talking about.

The president of PETA has even said in interviews that he did not like Steve Irwin and was pretty much glad Steve Irwin died. If that dosen’t show how extreamist PETA is then what does. Steve did so many things to help animals. With his passion he inspired the world and would never do anything to hurt a single animal. How could PETA be against what Steve did? It just proves that PETA is a horrible organization when it comes down to it, because of their extreamist atitude.
