Heidi Klum‘s protege and second runner up in Germany’s Next Top Model, Hana Nitsche, grew up in the Czech Republic around many animals, so she can’t imagine wearing any of them.
“We had chickens, pigs and sheep running around–it was almost like a little farm,” Nitsche said.
Nitsche told Fox411 she was incredibly shy for the shoot, despite being a natural in front of the camera.
“I get so nervous and shy, you would not even believe it’s the same girl from the pictures.”

You may wonder why so many celebrities that do anti-fur ads for PETA aren’t necessarily publicly known as vegetarian. PETA spokesperson Megan Rondeau recently answered this question when asked about Waka Flocka Flame‘s upcoming “I’d Rather Go Naked Ad.”
“Celebrities and athletes don’t have to be vegetarian or vegan,” Rondeau said. “That’s not a problem at all. I think that people often find there might be one cause that they’re very compassionate about and we love to work with them on it. [Our naked celebrity PETA campaigns] kind of goes both ways.”
Fighting fur here. Promoting vegetarianism there. In the end, aren’t they all fighting the same battle for animals?
