What do you get when you take an ex-corporate attorney who starts up a practice in an old shoe store in the middle of a seedy neighborhood?
A perfect lesson on humane mouse traps!
Of course that was your first answer.
“Harry’s Law” is a new NBC drama starring Kathy Bates as a former patent attorney fired from her old firm and forced to start over solo. During the pilot, we learn she’s started a practice in a store where the previous evicted tenant left more than hundreds of shoes behind. There is a rat problem!
Bate’s character Harriet Korn is a gun-toting granny, so she whips out the pistol one day and the rat problem is gone, advising an associate she took care of the problem and it’s time to “call PETA,” after doing so.
Granted, a single bullet that instantly kills Mickey may be more humane than the majority of mouse traps out there or some of the poisons that take days to painfully kill and also pose a threat to household pets or children that may accidentally ingest them.
But if you’re more interested in sending the mouse back outside to look for other residences, the Humane Smart Mouse Trap may interest you.
Endorsed by Humane Societies and Animal Rights Organizations around the world, the trap senses when the mouse enters the home after being enticed by the bait, then shuts the door and keeps it in there until you let it out. It’s that’s simple. No killing, no bullets and no registration to carry it–concealed or not.

Wish more stores would carry it. I hated selling people glue traps and electric catchers
