Miss World Alexandria Mills–Vegetarian Horribly Nicknamed KFC

[picappgallerysingle id=”10088946″]An 18-year old woman from Kentucky has been crown Miss World in the 60th annual competition held this year in Sanya, China.
Alexandria Mills beat 114 other girls, some of which jokingly nicknamed her “KFC” because of where she’s from in the United States.
But don’t let the nickname fool you, the Blue Grass beauty queen wouldn’t dare celebrate her crowning with a bucket of fried chicken.
Mills called the nickname “ironic,” because she’s a vegetarian who loves Italian food, especially pasta.
Her motto is, “The best things in life are worth waiting for, fighting for, believing in, and just never letting go of it.”
Guess that means animal activists will have to keep fighting for KFC to take a cue from a compassionate gal carrying their name and stop using suppliers which keep their chickens crammed in small cages and use a more humane way of slaughter, such as gas stunning, instead of dropping them into tanks of hot water and slitting their throats while they are still conscious.
Kentucky Fried Cruelty, anyone?

Is kind of a mean nickname given she is a vegetarian, although I imagine a lot of them probably were threatened by her. Do wonder if they knew she didn’t eat meat when they said that though…

How about we just tell people not to eat chickens instead of campaigning for them to be gassed? Do you REALLY think it’s that much better? It’s ALL cruel! And unnecessary!
