Quantcast Vegetarian StarLady Gaga Threatening To Wear Soy Now. Call Her Bluff!

In response to criticism from animal rights activists for wearing a meat bikini and meat dress, Lady Gaga has threatened to wear tofu to make the vegetarians mad. Or so she thinks it will.

During a performance in Philadelphia, Gaga said, “What’s everyone’s big problem with my meat dress?”

“Haven’t they seen me wear leather? Next time, I’ll wear a tofu dress and the soy milk police will come after me.”

Actually the soy milk police will probably give Gaga a key to the city if she wears soy clothing, given the fact it’s cruelty-free and eco-friendly.

Sometimes called vegetarian cashmere, the process for making soy fibers uses leftovers from the production of soy products like tofu, then the leftover soy proteins are removed and turned into fiber. Soy fibers are degradable, machine washable, resistant to bacteria and UV rays and super soft. Many soy fashions are blended with cotton and other materials.

Several online retailers that specialize in natural and environmentally friendly fashion sell soy clothing, like Hornet Mountain Natural Products and Faeries Dance, which has a nice collection of soy undies, hoodies, pants, tank tops and even a sweater. The award for best name goes to the Shoyu Hoody and the Miso Cute Top, both containing 55% soy blended with organic cotton and other fibers.

I think she should wear leaves(spinch, lettuce) like Eve. What a fantastic way to show she respects the vegetarian way and a good publicity stunt too.
