Vegetarian Star

Used to be, the only egg shaped items Jason Mraz was crazy about were his avocados. Now, the former vegan is actually eating real eggs. From the chickens in his neighbor’s yard. Presumably, he’s not stealing them in the middle of the night.

From Maxim:

“I’m actually no longer a strict vegan. I don’t hang out in the cheese section—I don’t even eat cheese. I don’t drink milk. But every once in a while I’ll have an egg. I’m going to eat eggs that come out of my next-door neighbors farm, that’s just the way it is. I just choose not to eat factory food, the processed food, just whole foods, real food. It all started with watching one too many documentaries, or reading one too many books. After a while you just lose your appetite.”

Vegetarian Star will miss his hard-core veganness, but locally produced, know where it comes from eggs are definitely better than factory farmed. If you’re a 99% vegan who takes your neighbor’s farm eggs every once in the blue moon, you don’t have to put a scarlet “E” on your head.

But unless you’ve got a voice like Mraz, please don’t torture the chickens by singing to them.
