Vegetarian Star

I’ve been reading a little bit, I had a debate the other week with a friend about the dairy industry. I said, I eat eggs, and he said, oh you can’t do that if you’re a vegetarian. And then I looked into it, and I found the dairy industry and the fact that they kill a lot of the male chickens because they’re useless, it’s quite barbaric.”

No, you never want to know what it feels like for a boy if  you’re a chicken. From Compassion Over Killing:

“Since male chicks cannot lay eggs and are different breeds than those chickens raised for meat, they are of no use to the egg industry. Standard killing methods, even among “free-range” producers, include grinding male chicks alive or throwing them into trash bags and leaving them to suffocate.”

We feel better using egg-free replacer that doesn’t mandate automatic offing of one half of a species.
