PETA Bear Cap Ad "MoD: Go Fur Free"
Another PETA ad has been pulled this year and it’s only the month of January.
The PETA bear cap ad was supposed to be shown on 25 London buses in an attempt to draw attention to the killing of black bears used for fur in making the Queen’s guards’ hats.
The ad showed a guard with a bear’s bloody head on his head with the tagline: “MoD: Go Fur-Free. It can take the entire hide of one bear just to make one cap.”
According to Media Company, the manager of the buses objected to the ad.
‘Tradition’ is no excuse for cruelty, and we plan to make this the year that everyone hears about how slowly the British military adapts to change,” said PETA’s Poorva Joshipura.
PETA wants the guards hats fashioned from faux fur.

That’s so ironic, when they’d let McDonalds ads run when they encourage kids to be ‘happy’ from happy meals and fat food.

i love they can post half naked chics in ads but they won’t post a bloody bear head.

They ust don’t want to show this to the public.. how horrible they are for killing bears..

The ad isn’t showing because unfortunately it is giving a misleading version of the truth. No one is killing bears for their hats. The hats are only made from the skins of bears that are being culled anyway. It is our fault for encroaching on the bear’s lands with our cities, that brings us more and more into dangerous contact with wild bears. The bears HAVE to be culled. What to do with the skins? let them rot? What a waste!
