Quantcast Vegetarian StarFearne Cotton Radio One Studios: Fur Real Or Fur Fake

Fearne Cotton wraps warm up in a leopard print coat as she arrives at the Radio One studios in London

Fearne Cotton walked into the Radio One Studios recently wearing this leopard print coat.

Sure, it’s probably cold in London, but we seriously doubt vegetarian Fearne is wearing real fur.

Or is she?

She admitted to indulging in Mulberry handbags that come in all sorts of leather varieties.

What do you think?

Is Fearne fur real or fur fake?

Fearne isn’t a vegetarian, she’s a pescarian. She eats fish

The coat is from her Littlewoods range and it’s fake fake fake

I myself am pescetarian and for me there is a HUGE difference between leather and fur. Leather is a bi-product of the beef industry and uses a product that would normally go to waste. By stopping the use of leather the production of beef will not end and the only outcome is that the cow hide will go to waste. Whereas fur is another thing entirely, the fur trade is highly unregulated as well as the fact that these animals are farmed entirely for their hide. Often in disgusting conditions.

Regardless if it’s a by product or not (a lot of leather actually comes from India, where they don’t eat cows, so that logic doesn’t always work), leather means you are wearing a dead animal. You are wearing skin. How does that not gross people out? Even when I ate meat, I hated the smell of leather. And how do you know if that skin was from a calf or a cow?

Are you wearing a crocodile that was just swimming in a river and then got clubbed on the head just to make your shoes or purse? Because a lot of times they don’t eat them, and they are often juvenile aligators or crocodiles.

I just don’t see not being able to eat an animal but then being ok with wearing it’s skin….
