Gandhi Birthday Celebrated By Google And Vegetarians

Today is Gandhi‘s birthday, and if you look on Google.com, you’ll see the tech folks in Mountain View, California have chosen to honor him in a very special way.
Gandhi was a vegetarian for most of his life, especially as he grew older and became more spiritual.
Some of his famous quotes were about humanity and the treatment of animals.
Our favorite message from Gandhi would have to be the following:
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
How would Gandhi judge our nation today?

Gandhi would turn over in his grave at the way we treat animals today. In his days, factory farming didn’t even exist. Compared to what happens to animals today, Gandhi’s times treated them like gods.
