Natalie Dean is the founder of Beyond Skin, a vegan shoe company with a heart as big for the environment and workers’ ethics as it has for animals.
“For me, it’s cruelty-free, but it’s also where they’re made, who they’re made by,” Natalie said, when discussing how everyone has their ideas of what is ethical.

Natalie has the right idea, alright.
Sure I can buy animal free shoes at Walmart or Target or wherever, but I can’t support local workers (during a recession at that), and who knows what kinds of artificial chemicals are on them.
To do a complete ethical check-animals, environment, and worker’s rights-when producing a product takes a lot of effort that deserves applauding.
