Aaron Curry Plays Defense For Dogs In Anti-Dog Chaining PSA

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry is playing some hardcore defense for dogs kept chained to a post or confined in a cage.
In this PSA for PETA, Aaron and his rescue dog friend Laila urge dog owners to, “Let your dogs live indoors, give them lots of love and attention, and make them part of your family. Because life on a chain is no life at all.”
Chaining your dog has more consequences than him barking all day long from loneliness.
A note from the Humane Society of the United States of America:
“In many cases, the necks of chained dogs become raw and covered with sores, the result of improperly fitted collars and the dogs’ constant yanking and straining to escape confinement. Dogs have even been found with collars embedded in their necks, the result of years of neglect at the end of a chain. In one case, a veterinarian had to euthanize a dog whose collar, an electrical cord, was so embedded in the animal’s neck that it was difficult to see the plug.”
Yikes!
This PSA should be on the package of every dog food sold.
