John Salley: The Next Food Network Star

22nd Annual Sports Spectacular - Show

John Salley wants his own Food Network show!

From blogs.ajc.com:

“I’m shopping around for a cooking show. And I plan to do a reality show with my family, my wife and three kids. I’m about to take a flight to meet with NBC. And I’m trying to sell my cooking show concept to the Food Network.”

John has already created his own line of vegan, organic snack foods that he’s promoting.

It would be great to watch him whip up some of that Slam Dunk Guacamole on television.

And a nice alternative to watching Paula Deen put 10 pounds of butter in a casserole while she brags about bringing gifts of ham during the Holiday season.

    Sweet!

I’d actually watch the Food Network show if he was on it.

I for one would LOVE to see him on The Food Network, but I would like to see him doing a vegetarian cooking show.

Isn’t it amazing that an entire channel devoted to food, doesn’t have ONE vegetarian show on it? I still cant believe that.

It’s sorely needed and he would be perfect for it. Yes!

I am completely down with Salley being the next food network star!

Really, besides Christina Pirello on PBS, where else can vegetarians and vegans watch veg cooking television?

And he is admired enough that I really believe he could draw people into the lifestyle.

    Crossing my fingers…

They need to show a way around using meat products.
