Meatless Mouthful: Gerald Goode Says More Emissions, More Responsibility
Written by Vegetarian Star on May 28th, 2009 in Environment-Eco-Green, Humor, Meatless Mouthful.

“With more emissions, comes more responsiblity.”
—-Gerald Goode, The Goode Family father, telling Ubuntu about the responsibility of driving a car, which is creating a bigger carbon footprint. We’re sure this conversation was preceded by the talk on alcohol and driving and speeding.
The quote about driving was one of our favorite moments along with grandpa Goode saying Ubuntu deserved steak and strippers versus the vegan dinner prepared for him. Grandpa, how could you say that in front your grandson? There are terrible consequences to children who are exposed to the adult life of steak too soon.
What did you guys think of the Goodes? Funny? Frickin’ ridiculously offensive? A little bit in between?

I loved the first episode! I think it’s great that topics such as these are being discussed on television in a humorous way that makes them less threatening. I read a negative review of the show from a vegan that thought that the show made fun of veganism and was thus setting a bad example of vegans to non-vegans.
I disagree and think that it’s great to poke fun at every lifestyle (without being malicious).

Yeah, it’s kind of like the StuffWhitePeopleLike website-and other spinoff websites from that one.
It may get offensive at times. But it’s almost always completely true. And hilarious.
People really need to chill out about it.
