Angelina Jolie Looks Synchill-tillating On Salt Set
Written by Vegetarian Star on April 14th, 2009 in Actresses, Fur.
Angelina Jolie is looking awfully furry these days.
She wore this fur-lined poncho and matching Russian style winter fur hat while filming on the set of her new spy thriller movie, Salt.
But while this looks like chinchilla, it’s actually a fake, or “synchilla.”
Jolie’s reps confirmed to PETA that Jolie only wears her own skin and that hat and coat are both synthetic.
“The chinchilla is actually synchilla,” PETA blogged.
Hats off (or maybe on, in this case) to Angelina for keeping it faux real!

That’s awesome it’s fake! I’m surprised!

Call me a Debbie Downer, but I hate it when people wear even fake fur. It looks like the real thing and promotes fur as being fashionable. All the idiots who buy real fur don’t know the difference and will run to the department stores buying the real thing.
Fake fur will only be cool once we ban all real fur in clothing. Then there will never be any question of where it came from.

I agree, Lindsay. Fake fur is better than real fur, but for a celebrity is still really bad because they have a huge following they don’t even know.

Whether its synthetic or real, fur looks barbaric.

Just another thing I like about Angelina Jolie – she doesn’t wear animal skin! I agree that it may not look nice, but she’s making it known that there are alternatives if you do so happen to like the look of fur.
