Arianna Huffington Hosted Veg Hors d’Oeuvres, Elizabeth Alexander
Written by Vegetarian Star on March 23rd, 2009 in Authors, Food & Drink.
Blogging and news maniac Arianna Huffington, from the Huffington Post, recently hosted a reception party for poet Elizabeth Alexander.
Although she’s not a vegetarian, Arianna had plenty of non meat hors d’oeuvres for everyone.
Elizabeth Alexander is the poet who composed, “Praise Song For The Day,” for President Barack Obama’s inauguration.
Alexander’s poem can be purchased in a commemorative chapbook edition from Graywolf Press.
History tells us Huffington knows how to plan a good veggie party!
If you recall, the Huffington Post set up a relaxing, time-out suite during the Democatic National Convention that featured vegan hors d’oeuvres and yoga classes.
You can view pictures of the reception for Elizabeth Alexander at MediaBistro.

Wow. Thanks. So as of last summer, she wasn’t. Probably a flip-flopper.
