Mark Ruffalo Escapes Cannibals, Survives On Shopska Salads

Sometimes it’s tough to be a big shot actor. The media shows no mercy. Not to mention how hard it is to find good vegetarian food when you’re shooting a film overseas.
When Mark Ruffalo was filming the comedy, The Brothers Bloom, in Serbia, he found it hard to find good veggie grub, and mainly had to eat what is called a Shopska salad. It doesn’t sound half bad-tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, roasted peppers, and sirene (white brine cheese). But eating that every day could make a brother bloom rather gloom.
“It was really sad for me there,” he told the UK Metro, referring to his lack of vegetarian options.
Not to mention the Cannibalistic Serbs who love to snack on vegetarian actors.
“When I told them I was vegetarian they were like ‘you must be from America because nobody here would ever be vegetarian – we tear you vegetarians to pieces and eat you!'”
Unless of course, you give them an autograph. Then they’ll eat someone else.
Always nice to be welcomed abroad.

Good lord, he is hot! I fell in love with him on “13 Going On 30.” Now, on to more thoughtful conversation…I think Europe is hit and miss with vegetarian. I had no problem in Paris.
