Vegetarian Lauren Bush has recently launched another set of bags in her FEED Projects series, the FEED Guatemala bags, to help the United National Children’s Fund, UNICEF.
The “FEED Guatemala 1” and “FEED Guatemala 3” bags will provide daily nutrient powder for 1 or 3 children, respectively, in Guatemala for one year.
According to the Lord and Taylor website featuring the items, nearly 23% of children over three months and under 5 years suffer from some kind of malnutrition and almost half of children suffered from chronic malnutrition in 2006.
If the world refrained from eating meat, or at least ate less meat, that number could be a lot lower.
