The June 2012 issue of Vegetarian Times features two athletes who power their Olympic training sessions with plant-based meals.
Mary Whipple is a champion coxswain who’s scored both a Gold and Silver medal in previous Olympic games. Dotsie Bausch is a seven-time U.S. National bike racer who says, “It makes no sense to me that anything would have to undergo one second of suffering so that I could enjoy it.”
The Olympic team hopefuls shared a pre and post workout snack they might enjoy as part of preparing for the July 2012 games.
